Public safety: FIR against five for Sundar factory collapse
Deceased owner, two architects and engineers have been nominated

Sundar police have registered an FIR against five people in the factory collapse incident that had led to the death of 45 people.
The FIR registered over murder, attempted murder and terrorism charges names the deceased owner of the factory, Rana Ashraf, among the suspects. Others nominated in the case are architects Tahir and Munir and structural engineers Ahmad Riaz and Muhammad Hussain. The case was registered on the complaint of Sundar Industries Officer Azhar Hussain.
The building had collapsed on November 4, killing 45 people and injuring 103 others. The rescue effort had continued for six days. An inquiry committee formed to fix responsibility for the accident has now completed its probe and submitted a report to the chief minister.
Besides those mentioned in the FIR, the report also holds senior officials of the Punjab Industrial Estates Development and Management Company (PIEDMC) responsible.
