Conviction: Man sentenced for illegal charity drive
After hearing witnesses, the judge convicted Yameen and sentenced him to 16 years in jail
BAHAWALPUR:
Anti-Terrorism Court Judge Khalid Arshad on Friday sentenced a man he found guilty of collecting donations for a banned outfit to 16 years imprisonment and fined him Rs400,000. Prosecution said Muhammad Yameen had been arrested by Multan police for collecting funds for a banned outfit. They said banned literature was also found in his possession. After hearing witnesses, the judge convicted Yameen and sentenced him to 16 years in jail.
