Bad business: Vendor sued over ‘defective’ clock sale

Petitioner Muhammad Aslam said he had taken the device back for repair

LAHORE:
A consumer court on Friday issued a notice to a proprietor in a suit seeking damages for sale of a defective wall clock. Petitioner Muhammad Aslam contended that the clock he had bought from Haji Enayat had malfunctioned a few days after the transaction. He said he had taken the device back for repair. However, it stopped working again a few days later, he said. He took it to the proprietor for a second time and asked him to either replace it with another article or return his money but the latter refused to do so.
