Behind Bars: CTD arrests three 'target killers'

The arrests were disclosed during a press conference held at CTD Operations II in Saudabad by SSP Junaid Shaikh

KARACHI: Counter-Terrorism Department claims to have arrested three target killers. The suspects were identified as Muhammad Shahid, Shah Jalal and Muhammad Shakir. The arrests were disclosed during a press conference held at CTD Operations II in Saudabad by SSP Junaid Shaikh on Tuesday evening. Shaikh informed the media that Shahid is affiliated with a political party and has confessed to killing at least seven people while the remaining two are affiliated with a religious organisation. The officer said that Shahid also confessed to have killed nearly half-a-dozen people in Baloch Colony, along with his comrades on the direction of their group's commander, Raees Mamma, on May 12, 2008 during the arrival of former chief justice of Pakistan in Karachi.
