Woman dies in roof collapse

Two others injured, shifted to hospital for treatment

DIJKOT:

A woman was killed and two others injured after the roof of a dilapidated house collapsed on Multan Road, police said.

The injured were shifted to the hospital for treatment, and authorities have launched an investigation.

According to sources, the incident took place near Gamaan Wala Chowk.

The roof of an old house collapsed suddenly due to the excessive weight of a water tank placed on it.

As a result, 28-year-old Ayesha Azim was trapped under the debris and died on the spot, while 40-year-old Ashfaq and 45-year-old Shakeela Bibi sustained injuries.

Rescue teams transferred them to Allied Hospital Faisalabad for treatment. Police completed legal formalities and handed over the body of the deceased to her family.
