Social welfare: Turkish envoy inaugurates automatic roti plant

RAWALPINDI:

Turkish Ambassador Sadik Baber Girgen inaugurated an automatic roti plant donated by Turkish Red Crescent Society for the orphanage of Anjuman Faizul Islam (AFI) at Faizabad welfare centre. He paid rich tributes to the orphanage for its efforts for social reform and progress. “Provision of shelter and necessities of life and facilities of education to orphans and destitute children is one of the greatest services to humanity and AFI Rawalpindi is playing a purposeful role in this respect,” he said. Turkish Red Crescent Society also donated over four hundred mattresses, blankets, pillows for dwellers of the orphanage, called Apna Ghar.
