DI KHAN:

Police officials demolished houses of wanted offenders during an operation on Sunday. At least three houses and all their contents were destroyed in Umar Kalay in the northwest region of Tank city.

A person was arretsed during the operation by the officials. No identity has been released at this time. Earlier this year in September, three police officials were killed while another four were injured during a raid on Jamal’s house, a known and wanted absconder in the region.

The deceased police officers were identified as Adnan, Qayum and Jahen Zeb. The shoot-out also claimed the lives of Jamal’s father, Bakhtak, and brother, Afzal, and injured his mother. Previously banned group’s members presenting themselves in security forces uniforms kidnapped and killed Jamal’s cousin Rafiullah.

Jamal used to be member of the Tank Peace Committee. However, since the dissolution of the organisation, members have been under attack by security forces as well as banned group outfits.
