‘Karvan-e-Iqbal’: AIOU group leaves for Lahore
The caravan was seen off by AIOU Vice-Chancellor Professor Dr Shahid Siddique and Registrar Prof Dr Muhammad Naeem

A 200-member ‘Karvan-e-Iqbal’ (Iqbal’s Caravan) will visit the mausoleum of Dr Allama Muhammad Iqbal in Lahore on Monday (November 9) to celebrate the birth anniversary of the great poet and philosopher. The employees of Allama Iqbal Open University (AIOU) constituted the caravan in order to pay tribute to Iqbal on the occasion of his birth anniversary. The great poet was born on November 9, 1877, and was the inspiration behind the Pakistan Movement. A wreath will be laid at Iqbal’s mausoleum and a Fateha offering will be held. The ‘Karvan-e-Iqbal’ has already left for Lahore. The caravan was seen off by AIOU Vice-Chancellor Professor Dr Shahid Siddique and Registrar Prof Dr Muhammad Naeem Qureshi.
