Respect: Action sought over ‘disgrace’ of flag

Nadeem Shaukat said the staff had packed the purchase in plastic bags on which the national flag was printed

LAHORE: An additional district and sessions judge sought comments on Monday from the Shalimar SHO on a petition seeking registration of a case against a confectioner for printing the national flag on its shopping bags.

Nadeem Shaukat submitted that on October 16, he had bought some food items from one of the company’s outlets in Singhpura. He said the staff had packed the purchase in plastic bags on which the national flag was printed. Shaukat said this amounted to disgracing the flag.
