Police action: Eleven held on various charges

Cases have been registered against the arrested men and further investigations are under way

Islamabad Police arrested 11 outlaws on Sunday from various parts of the capital, seizing liquor, narcotics and weapons from their possession.



According to a police spokesperson, Aabpara police arrested Javed Shah and recovered 30 litres of liquor from him.


Kohsar police arrested Muhammad Yaseen, who was accused of theft. Shahzad Town police arrested Zulfiqar Ali and seized three litres of liquor from him.


Sihala police arrested Ghulam Murtaza and seized an unlicenced 30-bore pistol and six bullets from him. Ramna police arrested Saeed Khan and seized 150 grammes of hashish and heroin from him.


Cases have been registered against the arrested men and further investigations are under way. In addition, police also nabbed six professional alm-seekers in the last 24 hours.


SSP Operations Sajid Kiani appreciated the performance and directed all officials to intensify vigilance and patrolling measures in the capital.
