Food check: 2 men arrested for possession of pork
Police took the men to a district magistrate who released them on payment of Rs100,000 and Rs50,000 as surety bonds

A Wildlife Department team seized 240 kilograms pork from a truck in Khanewal and arrested two people on Saturday. District Wildlife Officer Munawwar Hussain Najmi said he had received a tip that some people were transporting pork from Peerowal Forest to Yazman Market. Najmi said the department had searched the vehicles on check posts and seized 240 kilograms pork from a truck. He said Sonu and Raju, residents of Bahawalpur, had been arrested for possession of pork. He said both were Hindus. Police took the men to a district magistrate who released them on payment of Rs100,000 and Rs50,000 as surety bonds.
