Proceedings of the murder case of Judge Tahir Khan Niazi could not take place on Thursday as police were unable to transport the suspects owing to their deployment in Chakwal for the local bodies polls.
The anti-terrorism court hearing the case against accused Rashid alias Chand, and others, then adjourned the case till November 4 and directed police to ensure the presence of the suspects at the next hearing.
Additional District and Sessions Judge Tahir Khan Niazi was killed in his house in Satellite Town on August 5.
The suspects — Rashid, Fayyaz and Amir Bhatti — were arrested by the Rawalpindi police and sent on judicial remand to Adiala Jail on August 15 this year.
All three accused have pleaded not guilty to the charges. The slain judge was hearing a murder case against local landlord Taji Khokhar.
