
National Accountability Bureau Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa arrested Provincial Housing Authority (PHA) Peshawar Director Salahuddin on Friday for allegedly accumulating assets beyond known sources of income.
He will be produced before an accountability court to obtain his physical remand.
According to a handout issued by the bureau, Salahuddin is a BPS-19 officer and has been charged for accumulating assets worth millions of rupees.
When the matter was brought to its notice, NAB conducted an enquiry into all moveable and immoveable property controlled and possessed by the director.
“This includes property that was in his name and the name of his dependents,” the document added.
As per investigation, Salahuddin had accumulated assets beyond known sources of income while he was serving at the housing authority.
“These included three plots, one kanal each, in Regi Model Town and a 16-marla plot in Multi Professional Cooperative Housing Society in Islamabad,” read the statement. “He also owns three plots in Hayatabad. Two of these properties are in Phase II while one of them is in Phase VII.”
According to the document, the PHA official also owned an eight-marla plot in Defence Housing Authority in Islamabad and two cars.
