ISLAMABAD: Italian authorities have handed over a key suspect of Army Public School (APS) attack to the Federal Investigation Agency (FIA), an official in the agency told The Express Tribune. The suspect, Usman Ghani, hailing from Swabi district in Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa, was handed over to the agency officials at Benazir Bhutto International Airport on Thursday, said an FIA official, requesting anonymity. Sources in a Peshawar-based security agency told The Express Tribune that Ghani was associated with Qari Saifullah group which is active in Swabi. Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP) had claimed the responsibility of the deadly attack that killed over 140 people, mostly schoolchildren. However, the key suspects, including TTP chief Mullah Fazlullah and Umar Amir, are still hiding in Afghanistan.
