Uc-21 Hazro: Two candidates declared ineligible
Relevant returning officer as per law should not have accepted their nomination papers
RAWALPINDI/ISLAMABAD:
The Lahore High Court (LHC) has declared ineligible the candidates for the vice-chairman and counsellor of union council 21 in Hazro, Attock. LHC Rawalpindi bench Justice Kazim Raza Shamsi on Wednesday also rejected the nomination papers of Mohammad Nasir and Mir Agha, respectively after counsel Sardar Abdul Razzaq informed the court that the two were government contractors, had concealed their assets and have defaulted on Rs0.75 million of the municipal committee. Razzaq said the relevant returning officer as per law should not have accepted their nomination papers.
