Business venture: US Consul General Lahore visits Okara
Business relationships were actually relationships among people and the American businesses in Pakistan
LAHORE:
US Consul General Lahore Zachary Harkenrider visited Okara on October 27 to attend a ribbon-cutting ceremony at the ‘Green Heaven Farms’ as chief guest. Green Heaven has recently entered into a joint venture agreement with S & W Seed Company of Fresno, California for the cultivation of alfalfa in Pakistan. “This will give dairy farmers a healthier choice in fodder for dairy cows and has the potential to not only help farmers produce more milk but rather a healthier product, reliant on fewer chemicals,” said Harkenrider. He said business relationships were actually relationships among people and the American businesses in Pakistan were actively promoting education, advancing healthcare, providing clean drinking water and developing skills of local workforce.
