RAWALPINDI: The metro bus service was suspended for 10 minutes for inspection of its elevated track in Rawalpindi after the earthquake on Monday. Some media reports also claimed that the track had been affected by the jolts. Rawalpindi Commissioner Zahid Saeed, however, denied any cracks appeared due to the earthquake. He said an inspection was carried out immediately after the earthquake which found no sign of any cracks. He said the gaps which some people pointed out as cracks were deliberately left during the construction and filled with concrete. He said the Nespak officials will carry out another inspection on Monday night.
