At least two civilians were killed and 14 others injured on Sunday after Indian Border Security Force (BSF) violated ceasefire at Shakargarh sector.
According to Express News, around a dozen mortar shells were fired from the Indian side of the border.
Chenab Rangers befittingly responded to Indian firing.
The deceased were identified as 14-year-old Aqeel and 10-year-old Saba.
Among the injured were Ashraf, Haider, Sajid, Abdul Sattar, Abdul Jabbar, Faisal, Hameeda and Rashida.

The violations are in opposition to the agreement reached by Pakistani and Indian forces a month ago.
On September 11, Pakistani and Indian border forces had agreed to maintain restraint along the Line of Control (LoC) and the Working Boundary, as they sought to defuse tensions that had been heightened in recent months by militant attacks that each side blames the other for.

The heads of BSF and Pakistani Rangers met in New Delhi had agreed to hold back cross-border firing and not to retaliate immediately to violations of a 15-year ceasefire, an Indian interior ministry official said.
