Loudspeaker Ban: Khanna police book cleric

ISLAMABAD: The Khanna police have registered a case against Malik Qurban Hussain, cleric of the Mahria Naseeria mosque situated in Sohan, for violation of the amplifier act. Sub-Inspector Anees Akbar said Hussain was booked after he violated the amplifier act and used a loud speaker during maghrib prayer on Thursday. The officer said the Islamabad district administration had imposed Section 144 and clerics are not allowed to use the loudspeaker. No arrest had been made when this report was filed.
