9th Muharram: Procession culminates peacefully

The Alam-o-Zuljannah procession taken out from Sheen Bagh village in Attock on Friday morning peacefully culminated at Imambarga Hussainia after marching through its traditional routes. Mourners recited nohas in groups and mourned the sacrifice of Imam Hussain (RA) at Karbala. Sabeel, milk and nayaz stalls had been set up by local organisers at different point for mourners while a special mobile medical team of the district headquarters hospital and Rescue 1122 provided treatment to the injured mourners. A main congregation was also held at Imambarga Sheen Bagh and religious clerics highlighted the sacrifices of Imam Hussain (RA). Besides, the departments of fire brigade, civil defence and bomb disposal squad, all hospitals and Edhi centres had been put on high alert to cope with potential emergencies.
