CPNE, Muzammil discuss Rs1.4b dues

Verification of accounts worth Rs798 million from provincial departments has already been completed

Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa's Advisor on Finance, Muzammil Aslam, has assured a delegation from the Council of Pakistan Newspaper Editors (CPNE) that the provincial government will clear outstanding dues of Rs1.40 billion for newspaper advertisements in two installments.

The assurance came during a special meeting with the CPNE delegation, which included Ijazul Haq (former Secretary General), Ghulam Nabi Chandio (Secretary General), and Tahir Farooq, Chairman of CPNE's Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa chapter. Explaining the payment mechanism, the Finance Advisor stated that verification of accounts worth Rs798 million from provincial departments has already been completed. Fifty per cent of this verified amount will be paid in the first week of March.
