Pakistan Coast Guards seized foreign liquor and beer cans from a fishing boat after a hot pursuit in the open sea off Ormara near the Iranian maritime frontiers. The catch led to another successful raid on the Sindh coastline in Thatta. According to a statement, coast guard officials during a patrol in the general area of Tussuk near Ormara, saw a suspected fishing boat. The coast guards detained the vessel after a few miles’ chase and recovered 1,131 bottles of foreign liquor and 3,290 cans of beer. During investigation, smugglers divulged that another consignment of liquor was being unloaded in the coastal areas of Sindh. A special mobile team raided a farm in Gharo in Thatta where a shipment of 6,863 bottles of foreign liquor was being unloaded from a truck.
