Muharram duties: Dengue teams, hospital staff on call

Doctors and staff working in dengue wards of the three allied hospitals during Ashura

RAWALPINDI: The district administration on Thursday cancelled the leaves of staff working as part of the ongoing anti-dengue campaign during Ashura holidays. The announcement was made by Commissioner Rawalpinid Zahid Saeed. “All staff would remain on their respective duties on Friday and Saturday,” he said. Around 800 field workers have been performing duties to check spread of the deadly disease in various parts of the city and cantonments areas of Rawalpindi and Chaklala. In the meantime, the Principal Rawalpindi Medical College and Chief of Allied Hospitals Professor Dr Muhammad Umar has also cancelled leaves of all specialist, doctors and staff working in dengue wards of the three allied hospitals during Ashura.
