PPL gets four exploration blocks
KARACHI:
Pakistan Petroleum Limited (PPL), the second-biggest fuel explorer won licenses to search for oil and gas in four exploration blocks on Thursday.
Pakistan Petroleum was awarded blocks in Kotri, Kotri North and Sirani in the southern province of Sindh and Dera Ismail Khan in the northwest.
Pakistan Petroleum CEO, Khalid Rahman said that the company has committed a minimum investment of 24.2 million dollars.
The total area allocated to PPL in the four blocks is 8,730 square kilometers.
