Targets met: Anti-polio drive concludes

Health department had made adequate arrangements in this regard

RAWALPINDI:
The five-day polio vaccination drive which began in the district on October 14 concluded here on Sunday. During the drive, over 132,762 children below five years were administered anti-polio drops. Talking to APP, DCO Sajid Zafar Dal said we had taken solid steps to eradicate polio, adding that 447 polio teams were constituted to administer polio drops that performed their duties dedicatedly. He informed that the set target had been achieved, as the health department had made adequate arrangements in this regard.  He praised teachers, social workers and staff of the district health department who played a key role to make the campaign a result oriented success.
