Green signal: PDWP approves food programme

The forum considered projects related to agriculture and local government departments to uplift the province

PESHAWAR: The Provincial Development Working Party (PDWP) approved Insaf Food Security Programme on Tuesday. This was stated in a handout issued by the government. According to the document, PDWP held its meeting under the chairmanship of Additional Chief Secretary Dr Hammad Uwais Agha at Civil Secretariat Peshawar. The forum considered projects related to agriculture and local government departments to uplift the province. “The Insaf Food Security Programme in K-P was approved with an estimated cost of Rs3.8 billion,” read the handout. “However, the LG department project was deferred due to inadequate project design.” The meeting was attended by PDWP members, Secretary P&D Syed Zafar Ali Shah and respective administrative secretaries.
