PESHAWAR: Awami National Party Central Information Secretary Senator Zahid Khan has accused Chief Minister Pervez Khattak of serving the interests of leaders in Punjab by supporting the construction of Kalabagh Dam. This was mentioned in a press statement issued from Bacha Khan Markaz on Sunday. According to the central information secretary, the remarks made by the CM a day earlier are not in the best interest of the province. “The K-P Assembly has repeatedly passed resolutions against the construction of Kalabagh Dam,” read the statement. “We should support construction work at Bhasha and Munda dams as these are not controversial projects.” During a press conference in Islamabad on Saturday, Khattak said K-P will have no objection to the construction of Kalabagh Dam as long as its reservations are addressed.
