The three main parties in the race all had their very own hashtags trending in Pakistan

With the battle for the 'throne of Lahore' (NA-122) currently underway, one look at Twitter's Pakistan trends shows us how political parties have begun to take social media as a serious electioneering tool.

The three main parties in the race all had their very own hashtags trending in Pakistan. PML-N supporters chose to go with an Urdu script with the hashtag #SherTeyMohraThakaThak (Stamp the lion without any hesitancy), while PTI supporters went with #BallayPeThappa and PPP with #VoteForTeer.
