Most wanted: Five al Qaeda men killed in raid

Terrorists included those involved in killing of former federal minister for minority affairs Shahbaz Bhatti

Five al Qaeda men, including two most wanted terrorists, were killed during a raid by security forces in Sheikhupura. According to reports, the Anti-Terrorism Force raided a compound near Khanpur canal in Sheikhupura after it received a tip-off regarding the presence of some militants.


The raid was followed by an exchange of fire in which five terrorists were killed. The terrorists included Kala Qari and Kashif alias Kashi who were involved in killings of important personalities like Surgeon Brigadier Mushtaq and former federal minister for minority affairs Shahbaz Bhatti.

Kala Qari was also involved in attacks on former federal minister Hamid Saeed Kazimi and on Nato vehicles near Rawat and Tarnol.
