Food Standards: Two arrested over meat quality

Dijkot police have registered cases against them

FAISALABAD: Police on Thursday seized unhygienic meat and arrested two people. A Livestock Department spokesman said District Officer Saliha Gill had raided several shops at Dalowal Stop on Sumundri Road and seized 65 kilograms meat. The team also arrested chicken seller Shabbir Ahmad and handed him over to Dijkot police. Later, the Livestock DO seized 250 kilograms unhygienic beef from Roshan Wali Jhall Bypass and arrested butcher Sufiyan. Dijkot police have registered cases against them.
