Burglary: Jewellery worth Rs25m stolen

RAWALPINDI:
A gang of armed robbers broke into a jewellery shop at Sarafa Bazaar and looted gold ornaments worth Rs25 million. Police said that four masked robbers broke into Arbab Jewelers in Shahi Gali, Sarafa Bazaar on Wednesday around 8pm during load shedding hours and held the shop owner, Sheikh Muhammad Nafees, and his staff hostage. They looted necklaces, bangles, armlets, bracelets, Earrings, nose pins, rings and other items and walked out. The masked robbers opened indiscriminate when some shopkeepers tried to chase them, and fled in the narrow streets of the bazaar. A police team reached the shop after the incident.
