DI KHAN: A 16-year-old boy in DI Khan has demanded protection against police officials who raped him.

According to a written complaint submitted to DI Khan DPO Sadiq Hussain Baloch on Thursday, Shah Wali* said Kari Khaisur SHO and two other police officers came to his residence and barged into his house. He said they then took him to the police station and raped him.

“The SHO is now putting pressure on me and threatening to kill me,” said Wali. “I strongly urge the authorities to take the culprits to task.”

Medical examination

Insiders familiar with the matter told The Express Tribune Wali was initially taken to District Headquarters and Teaching Hospital DI Khan for a medical examination. However, he was later shifted to the DPO’s office amid tight security for the check-up. Wali was accompanied by a medical officer.

“The medical examination has been carried out and we will take action based on the results,” a police official told The Express Tribune.

However, he did not divulge any details about the medical report and also refused to comment on why the medical examination was carried out at the DPO’s office rather than a hospital. No legal action was taken against the culprits till the filing of this report.

Speaking to The Express Tribune, a local of Kari Khaisur village said similar complaints had surfaced against the SHO previously as well.
