Health department: ‘Better facilities available to people’
Dahar said that the programmes will improve the nutrition rates in certain districts of Sindh

Sindh government is trying to provide population-based health facilities to the people, said health minister Jam Mehtab Hussain Dahar, while attending a presentation of United States Agency for International Development (USAID) Health Systems Strengthening (HSS) on Thursday.
The health system district-level plan is much better in the province as compared to other provinces, he claimed. The goal of USAID-HSS is to support innovative, cost-effective and high quality programmes to improve the reproductive, maternal and child health services.
Dahar said that the programmes will improve the nutrition rates in certain districts of Sindh. The provincial health budget was increased by 26% as compared to last year (from Rs43 billion to Rs57 billion), he shared.
The nutrition of mother and child is being improved in Thatta, Tando Allahyar, Dadu, Tharparkar, Khairpur, Umerkot, Nosheroferoze, Sukkur, Shikarpur, Mirpurkhas, Matiari, Ghotki and Larkana, he claimed.
