
He was chairing a meeting to review arrangements for the Wasa water bottling plant. He said bottles carrying 19 litres of water would be sold for Rs70. He said the Wasa would market drinking water alongside international brands and the quality of water would adhere to standards set by the World Health Organisation (WHO). Manan said a report on the quality of water supplied to citizens would be filed on a daily basis. He said arrangements for Wasa’s water plant had been completed. A delegation from the Pakistan Standard Control Authority will visit Faisalabad soon and reports of water samples from the National Institute for Biotechnology and Genetic Engineering (NIBGE) would arrive in a few days, he said. Two warehouses would be set up in the city to store water bottles. This will ensure regular supply of drinking water to consumers, he said.
