District police on Monday claimed to have arrested 16 suspects, including six suspected of being members of banned outfits, in search operations under the National Action Plan.
A police spokesperson said a police team headed by Investigation DSP Malik Wajid Hussain conducted search operations at Hayat Colony, Queen Chowk, Gulshan Siddique and Shadaab Town and arrested six men suspected of being members of banned organisations. Police said they had seized illegal weapons from them.
