Bb murder case: Court seeks Siegel’s availability

The request will be heard at the next date of hearing on October 12, 2015

RAWALPINDI:
The special court hearing the Benazir Bhutto assassination case directed the Foreign Ministry to present at the next hearing a schedule detailing when prosecution witness Mark Siegel will be available for cross-examination via video link from the US. Hearing the case on Monday, special anti-terrorism court Judge Rai Khan Marth directed the ministry to submit a date at which the US author and close friend the slain Pakistan Peoples Party leader will be available. As senior prosecutor Chaudhary Mohammad Azhar was not present in court owing to his ill health, his request to cross-examine the new statements of the case complainant Inspector Kashif Riaz could also not be heard. The request will be heard at the next date of hearing on October 12, 2015.
