Lahore Corps: Lt Gen Sadiq Ali assumes command
Lt Gen Naweed Zaman handed over the command to Lt General Sadiq Ali
LAHORE:
A change-of-command ceremony was held at the Lahore Corps Headquarters on Monday. Lt Gen Naweed Zaman handed over the command to Lt General Sadiq Ali. Lt Gen Zaman commanded the IV Corps (Lahore) for two years. He is due to retire after 37 years of service in the Pakistan Army. Lt Gen Ali, Hilal-i-Imtiaz (Military), was commissioned in an armoured regiment on completion of his basic military training at Pakistan Military Academy, Kakul, on March 16, 1984. He is a graduate of Turkish War Academy and National Defence University. He has also been chief of staff of a strike corps and commanded an armoured and infantry brigade.
