A district and sessions court on Thursday awarded life term to two men and seven-year imprisonment to a woman for murdering her husband. The victim, Shaukat Hussain, was a policeman. The Additional District and Sessions Judge, Wajid Ali Khan, handed down life term to Jahad Ali and Javed and imposed a fine of Rs200,000 on each. The policeman’s wife was jailed for seven years and a fine of Rs50,000 was imposed on her. The court acquitted another suspect, Sajjad, for lack of evidence. The victim’s brother Khalid Khan had lodged the FIR with the Shahzad Town police station in 2010 nominating the convicts in the case.
