Encounter: ‘Robber’ killed, another injured, says SHO

FAISALABAD: Batala Colony police said a robber was killed and his accomplice was injured in a police encounter on Maqbool Road here on Thursday morning. Batala Colony SHO Inspector Muhammad Usman said a team of Eagle Squad was patrolling in the area. They intercepted two men on a motorcycle, however, the men shot at the Eagle Squad. Usman said the policemen shot back and one of the men died and the other was wounded. He said the injured man was taken to Civil Hospital. The SHO said that deceased was identified as Rehman, a resident of Chak 361-JB, Gojra.
