Consumer complaint: Notice issued to gym for overcharging

A consumer court on Tuesday issued notice to a gym management for overcharging a customer. Saira Imdad Ali has filed the complaint, seeking Rs500,000 in damages. In her petition, she said that she had been working out at the gym located in Gulberg III. “The gym administration had installed an automated system to keep a record of the entry of members. Members who exceeded the time allowed on their monthly packages had to pay more. The administration overcharged me through manipulated entries,” she said. She requested the court to direct the respondent to pay her damages.
