Some renowned health experts in Rawalpindi have advised people to keep their diet balanced on Eidul Azha and avoid overeating meat which can create stomach related problems from them.
Dr Israrul Haq, Dr Sheikh Muhammad Naseem, Dr Ziaur Rehman and Hakeem Shamim Khan also advised people to include vegetables, coriander, mint, lemon and yogurt in their diet along with meat related dishes.
They said that though meat is a rich source of protein and people should definitely have it but they should also be careful about overeating which can be disturbing for their digestive system.
People should also avoid spicy dishes and should garnish them with coriander leaves, mint and lemon, adding that tomato, fresh beans, carrot and beetroot are also good, they said.
It was further suggested that high blood pressure, joint pain and diabetic
patients should be more careful in using meat in their diet as it increases cholesterol level.
