Working hard: 113 corruption cases registered in two months

Sindh Chief Minister Qaim Ali Shah directs the department to decide 70 pending cases after Eid

The Anti-Corruption Establishment (ACE) has registered 113 FIRs, arrested 92 officials on corruption charges and submitted challans in 72 cases in the past two months, according to ACE chairperson Syed Mumtaz Shah.


Out of 113 FIRs, 13 were registered in Karachi, 18 in Hyderabad, 11 in Jamshoro, nine in Mirpurkhas, one in Shaheed Benazirabad, 32 in Sukkur, and 29 in Larkana. Similarly, 12 arrests have been made in Karachi, 18 in Hyderabad, seven in Jamshoro, five in Mirpurkhas, 37 in Sukkur, and 13 in Larkana.


Sindh Chief Minister Qaim Ali Shah directed the department to decide 70 pending cases after Eid. The chief minister directed the chairperson to convene meeting immediately after Eid to decide the pending cases. The meeting will be chaired by the chief secretary.
