
The National Accountability Bureau Balochistan on Wednesday filed two separate references against former Health Secretary Balochistan and district in-charge of the National Education Foundation (NEF) with Accountability Court Quetta.
Both the accused collectively caused Rs12.6 million losses to the national exchequer by misuse of power and committing corruption.
Jalal Khan, former Secretary Health Balochistan, in connivance with his sub-ordinates had purchased dialysis machines for Bolan Medical College and Hospital at exorbitant price.
Due to misuse of power and corrupt practices the accused caused loss to the tune of Rs10.2 million to the national kitty. NAB Balochistan after thorough investigation into the scam, filed reference against the accused.
Similarly, in another case of fraud, NAB unveiled that accused Ghafar Shah, district in-charge of NEF misappropriated Rs2.4 million. He frequently drew salaries of the ghost teachers at foundation’s schools.
