Bahawalpur police and law enforcement agencies held several search operations in the district under the National Action Plan this week. Hasilpur City, Dera Nawab and Samma Satta police arrested eight suspects and seized 250 bottles of moonshine, 2.15kg of hashish, 150g of heroin and two pistols from drug peddlers.
In Khairpur Tamewali circle, Khairpur and Enayati police teams conducted search operations in Chak 23, Wadera Mohallah and surrounding areas. Samma Satta police seized 250 bottles of moonshine and 250g hashish from Muhammad Sajid, a bootlegger, and registered a case against him. In Bahawalpur City circle, a search operation was conducted in Chah Fateh Khan Mohallah, Darul Kabab and surrounding areas. In Ahmadpur East circle, Khaidi Basti and its surrounding areas were checked by cops from Ahmadpur East, Ahmadpur East Saddar, Dera Nawab, Naushera Jadeed, Dhoorkot, Uch Sharif and Channi Goth police. They seized 1.26kg hashish from Hashim, 1.29kg hashish from Malik Saeed and 450g hashish from Allah Ditta and registered the cases against them.
