Reach for the sky: Varsity directed to assist FATA students
Students from Fata have been through difficult times due to deteriorating law and order in the region
PESHAWAR:
Sarhad University of Science and Information Technology (SUIT) has been directed to provide academic facilities to students from the tribal belt, stated a handout issued on Tuesday. The instructions were issued by Governor Sardar Mehtab Ahmed Khan during a meeting with SUIT Vice Chancellor Prof Salimur Rahman at Governor House. “Students from Fata have been through difficult times due to deteriorating law and order in the region,” read the statement. During the meeting, Mehtab was informed about the varsity’s efforts to provide stipends to the displaced population from North Waziristan.
