Too many F: Inter students protest against results

At least seven students were injured and 40 others rounded up as police used tear gas and force to disperse the youth

QUETTA:
Students went on the rampage on Monday over unexpectedly poor results in the Balochistan Board of Secondary and Intermediate Education (BSIE) examinations, breaking window panes and vandalising office fixtures. The protesters, frustrated over the Fs in the marks sheets, claimed that the ‘numbers were jumbled up’ and the marks did not represent the actual effort they had put in the Intermediate exams. At least seven students were injured and 40 others rounded up as police used tear gas and force to disperse the youth gathered at BSIE offices.Secretary BISE Shaukat Ali Sarpara said that last year the result was 55% pass now it was 28%, because of the control on cheating.
