Small businesses: ‘Govt looking out for cattle farmers’
Participants of the meeting discussed the company’s finance, procurement and human resource committees
BAHAWALPUR:
The city district government is doing its best to facilitate cattle farmers, Commissioner Saqib Zafar said on Sunday.
The commissioner was speaking to the Cattle Market Management Company’s board of directors at the commissioner’s office.
MPA Qazi Adnan Fareed, also a member of the BoD, said cattle farmers were usually poor and often susceptible to exploitation by middle men.
He said by establishing the Cattle Market Management Companies, the provincial government had demonstrated its committed to providing opportunities to small-scale cattle breeders and farmers.
Participants of the meeting discussed the company’s finance, procurement and human resource committees.
They also directed the managing director to take charge of the cattle markets’ administration in Bahawalpur and Rahim Yar Khan.
