Jumping Ship: Former PPP leader joins ANP

Sher Afghan said he will play an active role in the party and support the ANP’s endeavours

PESHAWAR:
Former Pakistan Peoples Party leader Sher Afghan Khan has joined Awami National Party along with his hundreds of supporters. The decision was announced at a ceremony held at ANP leader Amir Haider Khan Hoti’s residence in Mardan on Saturday. Speaking on the occasion, Sher Afghan said he will play an active role in the party and support the ANP’s endeavours. “We will hold a rally in Takht Bhai,” he said. According to Sher Afghan, he and his supporters have decided to join ANP as they are satisfied with its agenda and “principled stance” on various issues of national importance.
