Ied blast: One killed, three injured in Bajaur

Six people have been arrested under the collective responsibility clause of the Frontier Crimes Regulation

SHABQADAR: At least one person was killed while three others were injured when yet another IED blast rocked Bajaur Agency on Monday. Officials privy to the development told The Express Tribune,  the device had been planted in Kosar area near Khar to target tribal elder, Malik Waseed Khan. “The tribal elder was among the injured.” An official of the political administration confirmed the incident, saying the device went off as Waseed’s car was passing through the area. “At first, four people, including the tribal elder, were injured,” he said. “They were rushed to the hospital. Qadir Khan, the driver of the vehicle, succumbed to his injuries. Later, the political administration cordoned off the area to carry out a search operation. Six people have been arrested under the collective responsibility clause of the Frontier Crimes Regulation.
