QUETTA: The UN refugee agency said on Wednesday that around 64 families and 280 individuals will be repatriated to Afghanistan.

In a statement, Dinesh Shrestha, the UNHCR chief in Balocistan, said that “the body is responsible for voluntary return and we are providing every facility to them.”

Shrestha further stated that Pakistan and Afghanistan decided to extend the stay of refugees in Pakistan for two more years. He said we have registered three hundred thousand Afghan refugees in Balochistan. Khurshid Jamaldini, senior leader of Balochistan National Party (BNP) when asked to comment said they will most likely return to Pakistan because it has happened in the past.
